The Ryszard Rudy was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cezary Turek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ryszard Rudy made a huge save. F.C Poznańska's Edward Giertych played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Konieczny in the 23rd minute of play. Ryszard Rudy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cezary Turek in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartlomiej Adamowicz in the 27th minute of play forced F.C Poznańska's goalkeeper Edward Giertych to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C Poznańska's Zenon Pryputnicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ryszard Rudy. That made the score 1-0 after 39 minutes of play. F.C Poznańska's Edward Giertych played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartlomiej Adamowicz in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 played minutes, F.C Poznańska's Dobromir Jarmulowicz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ryszard Rudy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.C Poznańska reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Cezary Turek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Zenon Pryputnicki made a precise shot to the right of Ryszard Rudy. Proboszczowice SSA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The supporters of Proboszczowice SSA booed when F.C Poznańska was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Budzynski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leszek Konieczny in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edward Giertych saved F.C Poznańska from getting behind. In the 67th match minute, F.C Poznańska was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juliusz Iwanowski to maneuver through the defense.
