Zdzislaw Zbikowski came out of the goal and Barnaba Frenzel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zdzislaw Zbikowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witold Oryniak in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Zbyszko Andryszyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Kolano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zdzislaw Zbikowski. Aureliusz Kolano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Barnaba Frenzel came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zdzislaw Zbikowski could save by the left post. In the 30th match minute, Legioniści was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacek Prusek to maneuver through the defense. If Janusz Zywiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barnaba Frenzel might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zdzislaw Zbikowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barnaba Frenzel ran back to his position shaking his head. Stomil Olsztyn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliusz Kolano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
