An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Dylla in the 6th minute of play forced Smerfs FC's goalkeeper Lucjan Mondrowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Mondrowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszko Andryszyn in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Legioniści's Janusz Zywiec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucjan Mondrowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lucjan Mondrowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Zywiec in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Legioniści's Jacek Prusek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucjan Mondrowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Zygmunt Zgonina scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucjan Mondrowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucjan Mondrowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Janusz Zywiec went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Janusz Zywiec took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucjan Mondrowski. Lucjan Mondrowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. If Bartosz Jeziorkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Bartosz Jeziorkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zdzislaw Zbikowski having to interfere. When Bartosz Jeziorkowski came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Smerfs FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartosz Jeziorkowski couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Lucjan Mondrowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bartosz Jeziorkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Zdzislaw Zbikowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Lucjan Scislowicz in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Smerfs FC's Radoslaw Lamczyk. If Wieslaw Gonsiewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zbyszko Andryszyn succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 66th playminute. After 72 played minutes Smerfs FC got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Borucki. The supporters of Legioniści booed when Smerfs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radoslaw Lamczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Janusz Zywiec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Jeziorkowski in the 83rd minute of play forced Legioniści's goalkeeper Zdzislaw Zbikowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbyszko Andryszyn came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lucjan Mondrowski could save by the left post. A collision led to Smerfs FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Napoleon Haskiewicz hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Smerfs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Korneliusz Chmielecki came free, but Lucjan Mondrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janusz Zywiec was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Smerfs FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Legioniści's performance. The match ended with a win for Legioniści.
