In the 11th minute Alfred Nakonieczny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Zatorski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leszek Gardocki came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Janiki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leszek Gardocki couldn't finish the play. Alfred Nakonieczny might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arkadiusz Zatorski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfred Nakonieczny ran back to his position shaking his head. Ryszard Lichucki kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Alfred Nakonieczny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mieszko Lagiewniki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Nakonieczny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Arkadiusz Zatorski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mieszko Lagiewniki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arkadiusz Zatorski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Nakonieczny in the 41st minute of the match. Mieszko Lagiewniki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arkadiusz Zatorski having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Alfred Nakonieczny rounded Mersine's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Nakonieczny in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arkadiusz Zatorski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Daniel Bronkala's late challenge caught a Janiki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Bronkala helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Mersine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Bronkala to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Napoleon Hatman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wincent Perkowski. The goal made the score 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Nakonieczny in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arkadiusz Zatorski saved Mersine from getting behind. Alfred Nakonieczny struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Arkadiusz Zatorski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Janiki. A collision led to Mersine getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gilbert Ciborek hit a great ball. Arkadiusz Zatorski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mieszko Lagiewniki in the 96th minute of play. Janiki were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
