Gilbert Duda scored 2-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walery Tamulewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th match minute, KS Grocholice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomil Madajczyk to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Igor Ascheulov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Lampe. FC Szombry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Ascheulov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Though ot was a great shot KS Grocholice's keeper Walery Tamulewicz was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Walery Tamulewicz came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Szombry's Gilbert Duda. But to his dismay, Gilbert Duda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 48th minute KS Grocholice were awarded a corner. Ludomil Jaraczeski went to the cornerflag to take it. KS Grocholice's Ludomil Jaraczeski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gilbert Lampe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilbert Duda to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Szombry's zone, Norbert Dyczkowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Lampe came out of the goal and Norbert Dyczkowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilbert Duda in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walery Tamulewicz saved KS Grocholice from getting behind. In the 55th minute, KS Grocholice's Ludomil Madajczyk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ludomil Madajczyk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KS Grocholice protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ludomil Madajczyk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ludomil Madajczyk hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Walery Tamulewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Mroczynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Gilbert Duda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Szombry fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. With a little luck, FC Szombry's Gilbert Lampe got control of the ball when Norbert Dyczkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ludomil Jaraczeski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KS Grocholice's Walery Tamulewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Duda in the 72nd minute of play. KS Grocholice's Norbert Dyczkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norbert Dyczkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gilbert Lampe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Szombry getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Gilbert Duda hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Deon Chegwyn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Lampe. FC Szombry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deon Chegwyn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2.
