The audience was convinced that Jacek Sochacki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zachary Komornicki was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Morientes in the 8th minute of play forced DOJO ZABRZE's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Liermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Barlinek's Lech Miecznikowski got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, DOJO ZABRZE's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Morientes came free, but Arkadiusz Liermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Braulio Llorian made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in DOJO ZABRZE's zone, Fernando Morientes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arkadiusz Liermann came out of the goal and Fernando Morientes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zachary Komornicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Sochacki in the 56th minute of the match. If Konstanty Laskowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lech Miecznikowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Arkadiusz Liermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Braulio Llorian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Liermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arkadiusz Liermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Bianco, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The supporters of DOJO ZABRZE booed when FC Barlinek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstanty Laskowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, FC Barlinek failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
