The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wincenty Domala kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Teofil Rzegotka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zbyszek Lagiewniki having to make a save. If Teofil Rzegotka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Abe Habenicht notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of KKS Lech Żory SSA's Zbyszek Lagiewniki. Zbyszek Lagiewniki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wit Matuch hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Teofil Rzegotka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zbyszek Lagiewniki. KKS Lech Żory SSA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofil Rzegotka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 39 minutes, Teofil Rzegotka made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. KKS Lech Żory SSA's Zbyszek Lagiewniki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute of the match Śląsk Katowice got a corner. KKS Lech Żory SSA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco Amaral ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marco Amaral made a great header on Śląsk Katowice's corner, it was just that KKS Lech Żory SSA's Zbyszek Lagiewniki managed to reach the ball for a save. The KKS Lech Żory SSA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Śląsk Katowice were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Teofil Rzegotka made the kick off in the second half. When Jan Awizo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Śląsk Katowice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Awizo couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Śląsk Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliusz Ochabski to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Zachary Absolwent got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Marek Bronicki made a precise shot to the right of Zbyszek Lagiewniki. KKS Lech Żory SSA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Abe Habenicht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Zbyszek Lagiewniki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Marek Bronicki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KKS Lech Żory SSA's Zbyszek Lagiewniki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marek Bronicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Śląsk Katowice's Adelino Salgado was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Adelino Salgado had several of the KKS Lech Żory SSA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-9 score and a disappointed Zbyszek Lagiewniki as he didn't even see the shot coming. The KKS Lech Żory SSA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Śląsk Katowice were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
