In the 11th minute Napoleon Naumowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Sienkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezary Czubski in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arkadiusz Bartoszek saved Blanka from getting behind. Iwo Starogardzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Leonard Gierlach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Zajac during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Blanka booed when Ipswich Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Zajac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Napoleon Naumowicz in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roch Sienkiewicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Cezary Czubski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arkadiusz Bartoszek. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. Arkadiusz Bartoszek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Gierlach in the 43rd minute. Napoleon Naumowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Roch Sienkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Napoleon Naumowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blanka's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Bartoszek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arkadiusz Bartoszek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Gierlach in the 62nd minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ipswich Town had played much better football throughout.
