Leszek Podwojski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Ziętek's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Podwojski came free, but Jacek Olejniczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeusz Tyskie got free with Zenon Pleban in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute Leszek Podwojski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Olejniczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wlodzimierz Blochowiak. Axel Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacek Olejniczak having to interfere. Jacek Olejniczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartlomiej Buczko in the 30th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Karol Tomiczek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jacek Olejniczak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartlomiej Buczko in the 41st minute of play forced Ziętek's goalkeeper Jacek Olejniczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ziętek's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Qiu Yang was slow to take the kick. During this time Legia Warszawa's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Qiu Yang almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ziętek's Jacek Olejniczak did a great save. Zenon Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksymilian Pankowski in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Costel Costeiantu made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Wlodzimierz Blochowiak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ziętek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of Ziętek booed when Legia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leszek Podwojski couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Blochowiak in the 66th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ziętek getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Benedykt Pyrtek hit a great ball. Jacek Olejniczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartlomiej Buczko in the 69th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Legia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Basinski. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Costeiantu in the 71st minute of play. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maksymilian Pankowski in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Tyskie came free, but Zenon Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Tyskie in the 75th minute of the match. Jacek Olejniczak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Legia Warszawa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ziętek.
