In the 24th minute Boleslaw Awizo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Błękitni Koziegłowy's goal looked a bit too open when Ömür Seyfeddin came free, but José Maria Buljubasich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Florian Watarz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Błękitni Koziegłowy's Adolf Putin to fire away a dangerous shot which Marian Chilavert despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marian Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Einstein in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Einstein got free with Marian Chilavert in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Watarz in the 46th minute of play. Adolf Putin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gökçek Kolçak was the one to do the kick off. José Maria Buljubasich made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Gökçek Kolçak sent off a good shot on target. Błękitni Koziegłowy's José Maria Buljubasich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Błękitni Koziegłowy from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute Gökçek Kolçak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Buljubasich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goal looked a bit too open when Adolf Putin came free, but Marian Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolf Putin in the 59th minute of the match. Błękitni Koziegłowy's José Maria Buljubasich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömür Seyfeddin in the 71st minute of play. Ömür Seyfeddin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Maria Buljubasich came out and tried to block the shot, but Ömür Seyfeddin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 74th minute. The supporters of Błękitni Koziegłowy booed when Zagłębie Dąbrowskie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Guipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincent Polkoski took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Maria Buljubasich. José Maria Buljubasich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolf Putin in the 83rd minute of play. Boleslaw Awizo scored 2-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Chilavert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marian Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Jonsson in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Albert Einstein had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marian Chilavert. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albert Einstein was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
