The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zbyszko Domarecki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Radoslaw Mierzwa made a huge save. Radoslaw Mierzwa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbyszko Domarecki's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Juve Górnik Knurów's goalkeeper Radoslaw Mierzwa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Menios Psilakis. Bogdan Chlebek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wlodzimierz Trzemzalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbyszko Domarecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Radoslaw Mierzwa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Motor Czechów's Bogdan Chlebek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Trzemzalski in the 29th minute of play. Benedykt Trela kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konstanty Hetman got free with Radoslaw Mierzwa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Radoslaw Mierzwa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstanty Hetman in the 33rd minute. After 34 played minutes Juve Górnik Knurów got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Zurawski. Radoslaw Mierzwa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Silvério Toscano. The supporters of Juve Górnik Knurów booed when Motor Czechów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliks Mnich didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Wlodzimierz Trzemzalski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bogdan Chlebek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Juve Górnik Knurów's zone, Zbyszko Domarecki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radoslaw Mierzwa came out of the goal and Zbyszko Domarecki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd match minute, Juve Górnik Knurów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachary Zakrzewski to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Zbyszko Domarecki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radoslaw Mierzwa was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 64th minute of the match Motor Czechów got a corner. Juve Górnik Knurów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juve Górnik Knurów's Radoslaw Mierzwa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menios Psilakis in the 65th minute of play. Konstanty Hetman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radoslaw Mierzwa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Juve Górnik Knurów's goal looked a bit too open when Feliks Mnich came free, but Radoslaw Mierzwa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes in the game Silvério Toscano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Feliks Mnich. The supporters of Motor Czechów booed when Juve Górnik Knurów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Zgonina didn't get a good kick on the ball.
