Spectators: 7618 (Terracing: 5716, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Steinar Selmer got the match started through his kick off. Trond Nesheim got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 4th match minute before Øivind Sture had time to react. Martin Fuglestad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinar Selmer in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stein Kolås during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Vasstrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stein Kolås to maneuver through the defense. Martin Fuglestad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Askim in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fyske FF's zone, Jon Englund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Øivind Sture came out of the goal and Jon Englund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steinar Selmer in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Fuglestad saved Vasstrand from getting behind. Martin Fuglestad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steinar Selmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Øivind Sture took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trond Nesheim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Vasstrand's Trond Nesheim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Øivind Sture narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fyske FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jim Sundt was slow to take the kick. During this time Vasstrand's players had a chance to rest. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trond Nesheim made a kick off. Øivind Sture stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trond Nesheim's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Nicasio Tiso might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Øivind Sture. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicasio Tiso ran back to his position shaking his head. After 54 minutes, Tor Bremseth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fyske FF and the Vasstrand players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Fyske FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor Bremseth to maneuver through the defense. Trond Nesheim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fyske FF's Øivind Sture played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Tiso in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Trond Nesheim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Øivind Sture was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Nicasio Tiso took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Øivind Sture. Øivind Sture dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 72 played minutes Fyske FF got a freekick which was hit by Frode Ringnes. Nicasio Tiso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Askim could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Martin Fuglestad however easily saved by the left post. In the 86th minute, Kristen Staff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Trond Nesheim notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Fyske FF's Øivind Sture. Øivind Sture was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trond Nesheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Øivind Sture tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicasio Tiso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 94 played minutes, Vasstrand's Stein Kolås shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Øivind Sture came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vasstrand reached it. When the referee ended the match the Vasstrand players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
