Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Victor Løseth got the match started through his kick off. Victor Løseth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Runar Tveitan made a huge save. The supporters of Aarö booed when Gjerdset was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Thingstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dag Fossen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Joakim Røsand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gjerdset's Runar Tveitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Løseth in the 15th minute of play. Mads Kjellevold's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Runar Tveitan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Jack Holten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Gjerdset was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaute Trulsen to maneuver through the defense. Aarö's Victor Løseth got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Herman Sværen fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aarö's protests and gave Herman Sværen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gjerdset booed when Aarö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Sværen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Aarö got a freekick which was hit by Herman Sværen. Gjerdset's Dag Fossen got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Løseth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dag Fossen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jack Holten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Løseth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Runar Tveitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Løseth in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Fossen in the 71st minute of play forced Aarö's goalkeeper Joakim Røsand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mads Kjellevold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herman Sværen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Runar Tveitan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Herman Sværen was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 88 played minutes Aarö got a freekick which was hit by Herman Sværen. In the 91st minute of the match Gjerdset got a corner. Aarö's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carl Saga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Aarö's goalie and right to Stig Brynjulfsen. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Aarö's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aarö's zone, Jack Holten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Røsand came out of the goal and Jack Holten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gjerdset walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
