If Jonathan Palm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurits Torstensen in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ole-Johan Mjøen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurits Torstensen in the 13th minute of play forced Edshaug BF's goalkeeper Ole-Johan Mjøen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Svend Mehlum charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svend Mehlum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Edshaug BF's Svend Mehlum got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17thth minute of the game Laurits Torstensen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edshaug BF's Ole-Johan Mjøen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Steffen Warholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cato Skau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Alsvaag FF booed when Edshaug BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aslak Prestegård didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alsvaag FF's Atle Bolstad got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edshaug BF's Ole-Johan Mjøen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurits Torstensen in the 28th minute of play. Laurits Torstensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole-Johan Mjøen having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Ole-Gunnar Ihlen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alsvaag FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edshaug BF the free kick. A collision led to Alsvaag FF getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ole-Gunnar Ihlen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alsvaag FF's zone, Steffen Warholm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cato Skau came out of the goal and Steffen Warholm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ole-Johan Mjøen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurits Torstensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Laurits Torstensen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alsvaag FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurits Torstensen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ole-Johan Mjøen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurits Torstensen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ole-Johan Mjøen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurits Torstensen to make the kick off. Amund Skage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 56 minutes, Dan Fuglestad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alsvaag FF and the Edshaug BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dan Fuglestad hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Edshaug BF's goal looked a bit too open when Laurits Torstensen came free, but Ole-Johan Mjøen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Edshaug BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svend Mehlum to maneuver through the defense. Atle Bolstad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ole-Johan Mjøen. Edshaug BF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Svend Mehlum got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Edshaug BF's Svend Mehlum got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Jonathan Palm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ole-Johan Mjøen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Edshaug BF booed when Alsvaag FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Palm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Steffen Warholm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ole-Johan Mjøen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurits Torstensen in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Alsvaag FF's Cato Skau got control of the ball when Vegard Finstad tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alsvaag FF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
