Fredrik Hasund started the match with the kick off. Jørund Norland scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tore Stange, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waldemars Gutter's Peder Finnøy got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jørund Norland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tore Stange read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Larsen Hotspurs getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Johannes Garberg hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peder Finnøy in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tore Stange saved Larsen Hotspurs from getting behind. After 18 played minutes Waldemars Gutter got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Stokkan. In the 19th minute of the match Edgard Skaugen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lars Tungland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jørund Norland might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tore Stange. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jørund Norland ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Larsen Hotspurs's Per-Kristian Åsebø got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Waldemars Gutter's Peder Finnøy got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Fredrik Hasund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larsen Hotspurs's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrik Hasund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Tungland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredrik Hasund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars Tungland having to make a save. Nils Gjertsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Tungland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peder Finnøy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jørund Norland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tore Stange having to interfere. Jørund Norland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Gjertsen in the 61st minute of play forced Waldemars Gutter's goalkeeper Lars Tungland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Larsen Hotspurs's Tore Stange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Larsen Hotspurs from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Waldemars Gutter's Raymond Stokkan got a free kick in the 70th minute. Lars Tungland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Gjertsen in the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Waldemars Gutter's zone, Nils Gjertsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Tungland came out of the goal and Nils Gjertsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Gjertsen in the 75th minute of play forced Waldemars Gutter's goalkeeper Lars Tungland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fredrik Hasund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Gjertsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils Gjertsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lars Tungland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Nils Gjertsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Tungland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Waldemars Gutter walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
