Spectators: 7859 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Finn-Christian Steinnes kicked off to start the match. Finn-Christian Gjelsvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Svendsen having to interfere. FK Grunnfjord's Finn-Christian Steinnes got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Victor Mahmood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Svendsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finn-Christian Gjelsvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes FK Grunnfjord got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Opsal. After 36 played minutes Vardaberg BK got a freekick which was hit by Finn-Christian Gjelsvik. After 44 minutes of play, FK Grunnfjord's Finn-Christian Steinnes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eskil Hoel was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Finn-Christian Gjelsvik made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Vardaberg BK's goalkeeper Eskil Hoel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Dvergsdal. Victor Mahmood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jon Svendsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Tarjei Sleire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Finn-Christian Gjelsvik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vardaberg BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Finn-Christian Gjelsvik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Svendsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the FK Grunnfjord defense, Victor Mahmood kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jon Svendsen. The FK Grunnfjord fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jon Svendsen should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Benjamin Dvergsdal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eskil Hoel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. FK Grunnfjord's Finn-Christian Steinnes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Finn-Christian Gjelsvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Kristian Lysne hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 91 played minutes Vardaberg BK got a freekick which was hit by Jørgen Naustdal. In the 92nd match minute Tore Bjørnstad ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Eskil Hoel. 2-3. FK Grunnfjord's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
