The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Fredriksson got free with August Gjeruldsen in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Alf Fredriksson hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Steve Triganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Gjeruldsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, AEK FC's Sindre Westerlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. August Gjeruldsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With an all-out effort, AEK FC's August Gjeruldsen threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hans-Kristian Berg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Espen Indergård made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Młode Smoki FC got a corner. AEK FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl Aksdal ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Karl Aksdal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen did a great save. August Gjeruldsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hans-Kristian Berg went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. August Gjeruldsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Triganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen got control of the ball when Lars Røkke tried to sneak it across the goal line. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
