Erik Dalheim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 21 minutes into the match, MCFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Dahlberg came free, but Erik Dalheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MCFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jon-Egil Nerhus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the MCFC defense, Geir Jespersen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Dalheim. The MCFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Dalheim should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Aurelian Stolnicu made a precise shot to the right of Erik Dalheim. MCFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Thorbjørn Singstad hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. MCFC's attentive Christer Søyland managed to snatch the ball when Ulrik Kopperud made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon-Egil Nerhus made a kick off. Geir Jespersen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erik Dalheim came out and tried to block the shot, but Geir Jespersen slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 50th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelian Stolnicu got free with Erik Dalheim in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 74th play minutes Aurelian Stolnicu shot 0-12, a short shot which went by Erik Dalheim and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 77th minute, Benjamin Moholt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Dalheim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. 80 minutes in the game, Vilgot Öberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Erik Dalheim having to interfere. Aurelian Stolnicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Dalheim having to interfere. After 82 minutes of play, Breakdown Squad's Aurelian Stolnicu made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erik Dalheim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aurelian Stolnicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Erik Dalheim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Rune Dahlberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erik Dalheim. Rune Dahlberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-15. Christoffer Aksnes lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, MCFC's Christoffer Aksnes got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, MCFC's goalkeeper Erik Dalheim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelian Stolnicu. Rune Dahlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Erik Dalheim made a huge save. Breakdown Squad played a much better game than MCFC and deserved their victory. The MCFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
