The tension between the Anonyme Alkoholikere and the Leirbekkmo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Kasper Fuglerud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leirbekkmo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kasper Fuglerud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Skotnes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Leirbekkmo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Anonyme Alkoholikere's zone, Kasper Fuglerud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Skotnes came out of the goal and Kasper Fuglerud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasper Fuglerud got free with Peter Skotnes in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kasper Fuglerud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Skotnes having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Leirbekkmo FC's Jim Svingen got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Fredrik Lægreid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leirbekkmo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Lægreid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Anonyme Alkoholikere's Jan-Frode Tvenge got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Fredrik Lægreid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. When the match was over Leirbekkmo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anonyme Alkoholikere throughout the match.
