Olaf Bødtker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phaiakes Bertsimas in the 4th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Predators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trond Welde to maneuver through the defense. FK Norefjell Viking's Sven Robertsen pulled a muscle in his leg after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Dan Gamst fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Predators's protests and gave Dan Gamst a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Dan Gamst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Phaiakes Bertsimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olaf Bødtker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Flatmo in the 19th minute of play. Truls Høyland charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Truls Høyland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 22 minutes into the match, Predators's Truls Høyland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hildeberto Tinoco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Phaiakes Bertsimas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Predators's Olaf Bødtker. Olaf Bødtker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olaf Bødtker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam-Lucas Raniers in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Predators defense, Phaiakes Bertsimas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olaf Bødtker. The Predators fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olaf Bødtker should have stopped the shot. After having played for 43 minutes, Trond Welde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Predators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trond Welde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Sam-Lucas Raniers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Bødtker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half FK Norefjell Viking were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Gamst to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Phaiakes Bertsimas notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Predators's Olaf Bødtker. Olaf Bødtker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FK Norefjell Viking booed when Predators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Truls Høyland didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nikolai Solstad came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FK Norefjell Viking fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolai Solstad couldn't finish the play. After 70 minutes of play, FK Norefjell Viking's Sam-Lucas Raniers made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olaf Bødtker was left in no man's land by his defense there! Linus Flatmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Norefjell Viking's goalkeeper Hildeberto Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sam-Lucas Raniers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Olaf Bødtker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 85th match minute, FK Norefjell Viking was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Kittilsen to maneuver through the defense. Sam-Lucas Raniers scored 0-7 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olaf Bødtker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 90 played minutes Phaiakes Bertsimas rounded Predators's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FK Norefjell Viking eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
