The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Tití Camara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vebjørn Gjøen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tití Camara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vebjørn Gjøen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Curtis United's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Valiente came free, but Vebjørn Gjøen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Valiente in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vebjørn Gjøen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vidar Støylen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Vebjørn Gjøen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Curtis United's Eivind Nordberg got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Curtis United defense, Guaberto Valiente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vebjørn Gjøen. The Curtis United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vebjørn Gjøen should have stopped the shot. After 20 minutes of play, Kanfjellien's Hugo Ødegård made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vebjørn Gjøen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hugo Ødegård recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guaberto Valiente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Guaberto Valiente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kanfjellien fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 36th minute Hugo Ødegård shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vebjørn Gjøen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Tití Camara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vebjørn Gjøen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 43rd minute, Tití Camara made a precise shot to the right of Vebjørn Gjøen. Curtis United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Curtis United's Vebjørn Gjøen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidar Støylen in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guaberto Valiente made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Hugo Ødegård ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vebjørn Gjøen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 63rd match minute, Curtis United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristen Stølan to maneuver through the defense. After 67 minutes Curtis United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Morgan Sanchez Minio who took care of the corner kick. When Petter Hervik fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kanfjellien's protests and gave Petter Hervik a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kanfjellien's Petter Hervik got a free kick in the 71st minute. Vebjørn Gjøen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Valiente, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Hugo Ødegård dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vebjørn Gjøen, 0-11. In the 80th match minute, Curtis United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inge Mork to maneuver through the defense. Vebjørn Gjøen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tití Camara, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Kanfjellien's Vidar Støylen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vebjørn Gjøen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. In the 95th minute, Stefan Hatlen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kanfjellien's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
