Spectators: 9177 (Terracing: 6884, Seating: 2111, VIP seats: 182) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kåre Breistein kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Breistein in the 2nd minute of play forced Kirkenær BF's goalkeeper Jonas Naustdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Naustdal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenneth Andersen went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jonas Naustdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Andersen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jo Reitan came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Kirkenær BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Reitan couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Kirkenær BF's goal looked a bit too open when Arty Benson came free, but Jonas Naustdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Storm Furu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Nekstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Naustdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Breistein in the 33rd minute of the match. 0-4 became the score in the 35th minute when Rune Muggerud elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 38th minute Jo Reitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Nekstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Kåsmolia were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Farstad made a kick off. Arty Benson took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Naustdal. Jonas Naustdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Kirkenær BF's Jonas Naustdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Kirkenær BF from getting a goal against them. Jonas Naustdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Breistein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Muggerud received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonas Naustdal came out and tried to block the shot, but Rune Muggerud slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 61st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Kåre Breistein kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas Naustdal. That made the score 0-8 in the 64 minute of play. In the 68th minute Storm Furu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Nekstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kåre Breistein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Jonas Naustdal made a huge save. Jonas Naustdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arty Benson in the 75th minute. Jonas Naustdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Breistein in the 78th minute of play. When Tor-Kristian Høyland fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kirkenær BF's protests and gave Tor-Kristian Høyland a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kåsmolia booed when Kirkenær BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor-Kristian Høyland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rune Muggerud hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Jonas Naustdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Muggerud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kåsmolia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
