When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Dimas Amaro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jan-Frode Aarseth. Julius Tveit charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julius Tveit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Julius Tveit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimas Amaro struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jan-Frode Aarseth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for POPODARA F.C. Jan-Frode Aarseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gard Bredesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Grøndalen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Revheim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When Rune Grøndalen fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NTA19's protests and gave Rune Grøndalen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Rune Grøndalen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimas Amaro got free with Jan-Frode Aarseth in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimas Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Frode Aarseth having to interfere. In the 76th minute Rune Tronstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Revheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, NTA19's goalkeeper Jan-Frode Aarseth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Hystad. After having played for 92 minutes, Bendik Bekken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POPODARA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bendik Bekken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. POPODARA F.C's Ådne Svensen was substituted for Bendik Bekken. After having played for 96 minutes, Rune Tronstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NTA19's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Tronstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over POPODARA F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than NTA19 throughout the match.
