Preben Simonsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Herbert Posadzki made a huge save. EMhawks's Thomas Kielland quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pacho Escobar, made in the 33rd minute of the game. Per-Kristian Andvik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Hammeren, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. EMhawks's Jim Gustad got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half EMhawks were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

EMhawks made a substitution. Aksel Røyrvik replaced Christian Risnes. The wind increased when Runar Helliesen made the kick off in the second half. EMhawks's Herbert Posadzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Runar Helliesen in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in RotløsFotball IL's zone, Thomas Berg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Kristian Andvik came out of the goal and Thomas Berg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Preben Simonsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Posadzki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herbert Posadzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Davidsen in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Preben Simonsen in the 65th minute of play forced EMhawks's goalkeeper Herbert Posadzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes of play, EMhawks's Thomas Berg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
