In the 16th minute, Theo van Gaal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland van den Akker kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Johannes Speelman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martin van Dam.
