Klaus Zon charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaus Zon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Feniks Zuidhorn's Klaus Zon got a free kick in the 5th minute. Ed Riemers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mart Degeling having to interfere. Mart Degeling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Riemers in the 15th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Ed Riemers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mart Degeling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Renneberg's Ed Riemers got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Florian Gronden might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mart Degeling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florian Gronden ran back to his position shaking his head. Karel Holthuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Izaak Looze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ed Riemers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mart Degeling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ed Riemers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ed Riemers was the one to do the kick off. Mart Degeling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Riemers in the 52nd minute of play. Hans Lever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karel Holthuis took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Izaak Looze. Izaak Looze dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Karel Holthuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Izaak Looze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florian Gronden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mart Degeling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Riemers, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes of play Feniks Zuidhorn's Klaus Zon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Klaus Zon kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ed Riemers in the 87th minute of play forced Feniks Zuidhorn's goalkeeper Mart Degeling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Lever recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Lever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Izaak Looze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Renneberg players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Feniks Zuidhorn from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
