Spectators: 6712 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Klaas Wegman got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Smalbroek's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bender came free, but Jaap Jochemsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Koen Beukers came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Smalbroek's Klaas Wegman. But to his dismay, Klaas Wegman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Frits Vedder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Florian Vroom fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smalbroek's protests and gave Florian Vroom a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Smalbroek's Florian Vroom got a free kick in the 16th minute. Douwe Tamminga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaap Jochemsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douwe Tamminga in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Dennis Bender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Klaas Wegman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Smalbroek's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle Heck came free, but Jaap Jochemsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaap Jochemsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douwe Tamminga in the 28th minute of the match. Frits Vedder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Koen Beukers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaap Jochemsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douwe Tamminga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaap Jochemsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Bender in the 36th minute of the match. If Gregor Grommers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaap Jochemsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douwe Tamminga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Smalbroek defense, Gregor Grommers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaap Jochemsen. The Smalbroek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaap Jochemsen should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dennis Bender to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Bender in the 55th minute of play forced Smalbroek's goalkeeper Jaap Jochemsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aad Aalberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jaap Jochemsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Jelle Heck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaap Jochemsen. Smalbroek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jelle Heck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. With a little luck, Smalbroek's Jaap Jochemsen got control of the ball when Douwe Tamminga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Smalbroek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Kremer to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Frits Vedder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smalbroek's supporters rose to their feet, but Frits Vedder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Koen Beukers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 played minutes Smalbroek got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Kremer. In the 71st minute Dennis Bender shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaap Jochemsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match, Dennis Bender tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jaap Jochemsen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 74 minutes, Jelle Heck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horn and the Smalbroek players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Smalbroek booed when Horn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jelle Heck didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Jelle Heck took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Jaap Jochemsen to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douwe Tamminga got free with Jaap Jochemsen in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horn's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
