Jacques Bruin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitrie Wijker in the 26th minute of the match. Bennie Kiewiet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jacques Bruin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacques Bruin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitrie Wijker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Lamberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Valk having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Dimitrie Wijker put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jacques Bruin. Hans Tevreden hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Clostridium Difficile's zone, Dimitrie Wijker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacques Bruin came out of the goal and Dimitrie Wijker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimitrie Wijker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacques Bruin having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bennie Kiewiet was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Clostridium Difficile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Okkes to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clostridium Difficile's goalkeeper Jacques Bruin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57thth minute of the game Gerjan van Zijp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Augsbuur Excelsior's Rudolf Valk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hugo Boeve was slow to take the kick. During this time Augsbuur Excelsior's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Augsbuur Excelsior's Casper Veentjer getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Dimitrie Wijker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jacques Bruin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bennie Kiewiet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacques Bruin having to interfere. When Lex Hassel fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clostridium Difficile's protests and gave Lex Hassel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Augsbuur Excelsior booed when Clostridium Difficile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lex Hassel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes, Augsbuur Excelsior's Hugo Boeve shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacques Bruin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Augsbuur Excelsior reached it. 97 minutes into the game, Augsbuur Excelsior's Dimitrie Wijker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacques Bruin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Augsbuur Excelsior players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
