Spectators: 7477 (Terracing: 5609, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ronald Stolte kicked off to start the match. When Ronald Stolte came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Wissenkerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronald Stolte couldn't finish the play. Arne van Zalen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Sandbergen, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Wissenkerke's Coos Janssens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rein Meder in the 7th minute of play. Fabian Kleine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egbert van de Meerakker struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Coos Janssens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wezep FC. In the 15th minute, Gijs Tellingen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Wissenkerke booed when Wezep FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert van de Meerakker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Tomas Rekers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wissenkerke's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Rekers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne van Zalen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arne van Zalen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronald Stolte's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Ronald Stolte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne van Zalen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Rekers in the 33rd minute of play forced Wezep FC's goalkeeper Arne van Zalen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wezep FC's zone, Tomas Rekers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne van Zalen came out of the goal and Tomas Rekers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wezep FC's Arne van Zalen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Stolte in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Stolte in the 42nd minute of play forced Wezep FC's goalkeeper Arne van Zalen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Elco Salens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wezep FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wissenkerke the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rein Meder to make the kick off. If Ronald Stolte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Wissenkerke's Tomas Rekers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne van Zalen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, Wezep FC's Rein Meder made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Coos Janssens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Rekers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Rekers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Wissenkerke's Fabian Kleine got a free kick in the 89th minute. Many of Wissenkerke's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Wissenkerke may have spent more time on the ball, but Wezep FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
