After a defensive mix-up in De Piepies's zone, Dries de Haan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Tyson came out of the goal and Dries de Haan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Mathias Haken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Piepies's Mark Tyson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 14 played minutes De Piepies got a freekick which was hit by Steven Heida. Mathias Haken did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Mark Tyson 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, Ramon Zijlstra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blokzijl's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Piepies the free kick. Ramon Zijlstra hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Dries de Haan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathias Haken to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, De Piepies's Ruben van Zaanen got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 59 minutes into the game, Blokzijl's Dries de Haan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Tyson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Fulgencio Romano came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the De Piepies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Romano couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacob Thomasse during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of De Piepies booed when Blokzijl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Thomasse didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Dries de Haan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Piepies's Mark Tyson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blokzijl's Pieter-Jan Walregt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben van Zaanen in the 75th minute of play. Pieter-Jan Walregt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Romano in the 76th minute of the match. If Fulgencio Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pieter-Jan Walregt made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Fulgencio Romano sent off a good shot on target. Fulgencio Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter-Jan Walregt having to interfere. Ruben van Zaanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Pieter-Jan Walregt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, De Piepies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben van Zaanen to maneuver through the defense. When Ramon Zijlstra came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Blokzijl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Zijlstra couldn't finish the play.
