After 3 minutes, Gigi Cristocea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bradboys and the Ajax players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Bradboys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigi Cristocea to maneuver through the defense. After 7 played minutes Bradboys got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Nieuwendijk. Victor Heide hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Alfred Hoezen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Zuidema having to interfere. Koen Schuttrup came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Bradboys's Gigi Cristocea. But to his dismay, Gigi Cristocea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Koen Schuttrup made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Victor Heide sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes in the game, Gigi Cristocea fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Koen Schuttrup having to interfere. Dennis Zuidema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Kauffeld in the 28th minute of the match. Koen Schuttrup made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Heide in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the game, Victor Heide was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bradboys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajax the free kick. After 36 played minutes Bradboys got a freekick which was hit by Victor Heide. Koen Schuttrup was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Gigi Cristocea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gigi Cristocea really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Victor Heide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen Schuttrup having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basarab Potoroacă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Victor Heide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Gigi Cristocea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koen Schuttrup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ajax's Boudewijn Oosterveld got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sipke Kleine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Koen Schuttrup having to make a save. After having played for 62 minutes, Victor Heide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bradboys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Heide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 3-0 became the score in the 65th minute when Gigi Cristocea elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ajax's Basarab Potoroacă got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Bradboys's Victor Heide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Koen Schuttrup made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 76 minutes into the match, Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Heide came free, but Koen Schuttrup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Bradboys got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Hartz. Koen Schuttrup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Heide, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the Ajax defense, Victor Heide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Koen Schuttrup. The Ajax fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Koen Schuttrup should have stopped the shot. In the 84th match minute, Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boudewijn Oosterveld to maneuver through the defense. The Bradboys fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Bradboys's Gigi Cristocea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bradboys had won after a very even match.
