Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robin Van Peel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Robin Van Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derk Korf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13thth minute of the game Derk Korf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Derks's Robin Van Peel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Derk Korf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Job van Rooijen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Robin Van Peel made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Derk Korf in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Van Peel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in FC Derks's zone, Derk Korf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Van Peel came out of the goal and Derk Korf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Job van Rooijens short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Robin Van Peel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bennie Grasmaaijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Job van Rooijen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robin Van Peel having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nico-Jan Mülder was the one to do the kick off. Derk Korf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Van Peel having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, FC Derks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esmin De Beuf to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Derks's zone, Job van Rooijen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Van Peel came out of the goal and Job van Rooijen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Derk Korf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Derks's Nico-Jan Mülder got a free kick in the 65th minute. Robin Van Peel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Job van Rooijen, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Bennie Grasmaaijer charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bennie Grasmaaijer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, Zwartenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bennie Grasmaaijer to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the game, Zwartenberg's Derk Korf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Derk Korf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zwartenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Derk Korf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Van Peel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robin Van Peel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Job van Rooijen in the 95th minute of play. Job van Rooijen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute.
