Billy Hollander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harm van Zomeren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Arjen Saanen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jan Rein Driel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Maikel Lammers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Rein Driel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Luc Hillen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Northern Titans's goalkeeper Billy Hollander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timoteo Manilan. Billy Hollander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arjan Spanjer in the 26th minute. In the 26th match minute, Northern Titans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maikel Lammers to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes Northern Titans got a freekick which was hit by Kálmán Imre. Billy Hollander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arjan Spanjer in the 28th minute of play. Jan Rein Driel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arjen Saanen in the 31st minute of play. Jan Rein Driel didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Northern Titans's Maikel Lammers shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After 38 minutes, Kálmán Imre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Northern Titans and the De tulpen SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Northern Titans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kálmán Imre to maneuver through the defense. Maikel Lammers scored 1-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Rein Driel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, De tulpen SC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Heerspink came free, but Jan Rein Driel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jan Geers fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Northern Titans's protests and gave Jan Geers a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Northern Titans getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jan Geers hit a great ball. Timoteo Manilan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arjan Spanjer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy Hollander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. De tulpen SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arjan Spanjer in the 48th minute. Arjan Spanjer made a great header on De tulpen SC's corner, it was just that Northern Titans's Billy Hollander managed to reach the ball for a save. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arjan Spanjer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th match minute, Northern Titans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Maurits to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Timoteo Manilan managed to get in a good position for a shot. De tulpen SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Manilan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billy Hollander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arjen Saanen succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 59th playminute. Arjen Kuipers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. De tulpen SC made a substitution. Godofredo Leyton replaced Arjan Spanjer. Billy Hollander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Leyton in the 71st minute of the match. Billy Hollander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Manilan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Rein Driel made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Arjen Saanen sent off a good shot on target. Kálmán Imre made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Maikel Lammers. 83 minutes into the match, De tulpen SC's goalkeeper Jan Rein Driel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arjen Saanen. After some careless play in the De tulpen SC defense, Roelof Busch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Rein Driel. The De tulpen SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Rein Driel should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in De tulpen SC's zone, Menno Heck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Rein Driel came out of the goal and Menno Heck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The De tulpen SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Northern Titans's performance. The match ended with a win for Northern Titans.
