The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Young Benefica's Walmir Breckenfeld slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bertus de Swart. That made the score 2-0 after 7 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Witomir Orszak during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 19 minutes into the game, one of Young Benefica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mitchel Dijkstra went to the wrong direction when Fernando Terpstra was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Young Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Dekkers in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Walmir Breckenfeld recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bertus de Swart. Walmir Breckenfeld showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 30 minutes into the match, Nisse's goal looked a bit too open when Wouter Zwinkels came free, but Bertus de Swart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Yuri Rieks fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nisse's protests and gave Yuri Rieks a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Nisse got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Rieks. Maciej Wielgopolski had several of the Nisse's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Bertus de Swart as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rogier de Jaeger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mitchel Dijkstra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

In the 70th minute, Walmir Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bertus de Swart was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. If Martin Ødegaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
