Kurt van der Laan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Gregor Rinzema made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Co Fuchs in the 15th minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Roorda in the 20th minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philippe Gilbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to De Digitale Dribbelaars getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Hugo Blank hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt van der Laan got free with Gregor Rinzema in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kurt van der Laan made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Philippe Gilbert came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Petersson in the 56th minute of play forced De Digitale Dribbelaars's goalkeeper Gregor Rinzema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otto Schiphouwer hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Otto Schiphouwer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The De Digitale Dribbelaars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregor Rinzema should have stopped the shot. De Digitale Dribbelaars's Zenonas Lopeta was substituted for Severo Jobo. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Karel Kimman got a free kick in the 78th minute. Philippe Gilbert struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ralph Roeles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Digitale Dribbelaars. Kurt van der Laan took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregor Rinzema. Gregor Rinzema dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Roorda in the 86th minute of play. Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philippe Gilbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philippe Gilbert in the 91st minute of the match. Ralph Roeles was a little too slow when Pankracy Wisniewski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 96th minute, Bengt Petersson made a precise shot to the right of Gregor Rinzema. De Digitale Dribbelaars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
