Revenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Casper Buys scored to the left of an out of position Pieter Hosson, making the score, 2-0. Alessio Darmanin's late challenge caught a Revenge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessio Darmanin helped the player get up and apologised. FC Schoonhoven's Jamie Constantine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilco Willemse in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Revenge's Pieter Hosson got control of the ball when Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pieter Hosson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Revenge's Alwin Sterenberg got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Revenge got a freekick which was hit by Steven Palsma. It was a well-played corner which Theo Otten managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Christiaan van de Meerakker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pieter Hosson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessio Darmanin got free with Pieter Hosson in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Revenge's goalkeeper Pieter Hosson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christiaan van de Meerakker. In the 35th minute Ritchie Granville shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamie Constantine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jamie Constantine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ritchie Granville, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Revenge's goalkeeper Pieter Hosson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerard de Visser. Demy Timmermans hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Alessio Darmanin made a precise shot to the right of Pieter Hosson. Revenge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Pieter Hosson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp in the 61st minute of play. Ritchie Granville struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Jamie Constantine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Revenge. In the 66th minute, Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp made a precise shot to the right of Pieter Hosson. Revenge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Mehmet Bedri Sağanalp scored 5-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pieter Hosson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Revenge's goal looked a bit too open when Casper Buys came free, but Pieter Hosson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerard de Visser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter Hosson having to interfere.
