The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Heineken Youths's Boukjan van Dongen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 3rd minute, Mark Kuiper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bastiaan Carel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 5 minutes into the game, Steve Heikens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heineken Youths's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Gregorian Juniors the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Heineken Youths was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Heikens to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, Mark Kuiper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bastiaan Carel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sébastien Haller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bastiaan Carel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Mark Kuiper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bastiaan Carel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Bastiaan Carel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sébastien Haller, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 21 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Anton Bult. In the 25th match minute, Heineken Youths was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas de Zee to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Sébastien Haller made a precise shot to the right of Bastiaan Carel. Heineken Youths's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After some careless play in the Heineken Youths defense, Kim Olofsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bastiaan Carel. The Heineken Youths fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bastiaan Carel should have stopped the shot. Lucas de Zee kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Mark Kuiper notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Heineken Youths's Bastiaan Carel. Bastiaan Carel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luc Vonk hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Mark Kuiper made a precise shot to the right of Bastiaan Carel. Heineken Youths's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Bastiaan Carel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sébastien Haller in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Mark Kuiper left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Gregorian Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ralph Koopmans was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralph Koopmans in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henk-Jan Appel saved Boca Gregorian Juniors from getting behind. After 58 minutes of play, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Sébastien Haller made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bastiaan Carel was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mark Kuiper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kim Olofsson hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Johannes Boon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bastiaan Carel, 0-10. Bastiaan Carel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Olofsson in the 82nd minute of the match. Heineken Youths's Bastiaan Carel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Heineken Youths from getting a goal against them. Mark Kuiper blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bastiaan Carel having to make a save. Mark Kuiper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Sébastien Haller ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bastiaan Carel. Bastiaan Carel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12.
