The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, one of Revenge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Revenge. Pieter Hosson had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Sébastien Haller's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Revenge defense, Sébastien Haller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pieter Hosson. The Revenge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pieter Hosson should have stopped the shot. Pieter Hosson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sébastien Haller in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Mark Kuiper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter Hosson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Hans Tuyp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pieter Hosson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 20 minutes into the match, Revenge's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Olofsson came free, but Pieter Hosson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pieter Hosson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Olofsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Boca Gregorian Juniors's Mark Kuiper suffered a sore thigh after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Revenge getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gertjan Bosstraeten hit a great ball. Revenge's Pieter Hosson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Olofsson in the 28th minute of play. Boca Gregorian Juniors's attack was well implemented in the 28th minute, but when Kim Olofsson was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The supporters of Boca Gregorian Juniors booed when Revenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurits Hooiveld didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Revenge's goal looked a bit too open when Iaki Angles came free, but Pieter Hosson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Iaki Angles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sébastien Haller hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Revenge's Gertjan Bosstraeten got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Sébastien Haller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter Hosson having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Boca Gregorian Juniors's goalkeeper Henk-Jan Appel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Palsma. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sébastien Haller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iaki Angles might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pieter Hosson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iaki Angles ran back to his position shaking his head. Sébastien Haller struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Pieter Hosson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Gregorian Juniors. Henk-Jan Appel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ritchie Granville, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Revenge's goalkeeper Pieter Hosson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iaki Angles. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Kim Olofsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Gregorian Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Kim Olofsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pieter Hosson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johannes Boon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iaki Angles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Pieter Hosson made a huge save. Iaki Angles struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Pieter Hosson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Gregorian Juniors. After 77 minutes, Sébastien Haller made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Revenge's Pieter Hosson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Revenge's goalkeeper Pieter Hosson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johannes Boon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Pieter Hosson made a huge save. Boca Gregorian Juniors's Henk-Jan Appel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Palsma in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Revenge's zone, Iaki Angles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pieter Hosson came out of the goal and Iaki Angles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boca Gregorian Juniors's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
