The Heineken Youths fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steve Heikens should have stopped the shot. In the 10th minute Edmílson Gay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Heikens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well done corner resulted in Hugo Grep drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Heineken Youths's goalkeeper. A collision led to Heineken Youths getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ramon Zadelhoff hit a great ball. Steve Heikens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stef Sibon in the 16th minute of the match. Bart Rolink charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bart Rolink the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Moleneindse Boys booed when Heineken Youths was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Rolink didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, one of Heineken Youths:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave FC Moleneindse Boys a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmílson Gay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Heineken Youths's Steve Heikens. 0-3. Adriaan Boekholt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Koopmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stef Sibon took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve Heikens. Steve Heikens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 28 minutes into the match, Edmílson Gay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steve Heikens. Heineken Youths's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmílson Gay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Kenneth van der Werff scored 0-6 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steve Heikens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Edmílson Gay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve Heikens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Steve Heikens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth van der Werff in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Mehmet Bedri Uçhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Heikens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Hugo Grep ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve Heikens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After 58 played minutes Heineken Youths got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Koopmans. Steve Heikens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stef Sibon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 59 minute of play. Steve Heikens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Grep in the 62nd minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Heineken Youths's goalkeeper Steve Heikens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otto Heesen. After a rather tough play, Heineken Youths's Timmie Speelman got a free kick in the 69th minute. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Mario Teuws took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Steve Heikens to make any attempt to save it. When Edmílson Gay came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC Moleneindse Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmílson Gay couldn't finish the play. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
