Spectators: 10850 (Terracing: 8139, Seating: 2495, VIP seats: 216) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nick Heesen started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Urtsin. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan Wessel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Wessel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ditlev Delmont received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jan Wessel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert van den Bergh kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Georg Hagberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 18th minute. Nick Heesen might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Wessel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nick Heesen ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Wessel came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen. But to his dismay, Nick Heesen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan Wessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Heesen in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nick Heesen in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Wessel saved The Underdogs from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in The Underdogs's zone, Nick Heesen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Wessel came out of the goal and Nick Heesen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ágætis Byrjun's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Dolf Schoonderwoerd scored to the left of an out of position Georg Hagberg, making the score, 1-1. In the 39th minute, Nick Heesen made a precise shot to the right of Jan Wessel. The Underdogs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Underdogs's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Dolf Schoonderwoerd made the kick off in the second half. Georg Hagberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Boelens in the 52nd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Ladislao Cordarius in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Underdogs's Piearres Olalla. Jan Wessel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ditlev Delmont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ditlev Delmont scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Wessel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan Wessel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nick Heesen in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nick Heesen in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Wessel saved The Underdogs from getting behind. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nick Heesen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Jan Wessel made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Nick Heesen came free, but Jan Wessel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nick Heesen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nick Heesen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Wessel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nick Heesen got free with Jan Wessel in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the The Underdogs defense, Nick Heesen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Wessel. The The Underdogs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Wessel should have stopped the shot. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Hendrik-Jan Kuijpers replaced Gert van den Bergh. After having played for 94 minutes, Dolf Schoonderwoerd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Underdogs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dolf Schoonderwoerd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank de Boer to maneuver through the defense. The The Underdogs fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ágætis Byrjun were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
