Ebira United Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guy Monzon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Chiazagomekpele Ige came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by OK8CHA MZT's Edson-Arantes Okocha. But to his dismay, Edson-Arantes Okocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Chiazagomekpele Ige showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guy Monzon in the 12th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes OK8CHA MZT got a freekick which was hit by Andy Anumunu. After 21 played minutes, Ebira United Fc's Ayila Al-Makura shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olawale Dimeji came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ebira United Fc reached it. 23 minutes into the game, OK8CHA MZT's Kelvin Nwogu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 47th minute, Ebira United Fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kelvin Nwogu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

There was no doubt that OK8CHA MZT were the better team. OK8CHA MZT's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
