If Stephen Satariano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephen Satariano struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Bjorn Zahra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Resurrection.

FC Resurrection's supporters rose to their feet, but Jake Terribile was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 67th minute, Peter Bonett fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Frederick Cefai hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Chucky Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Clayton Camilleri made a huge save. Stephen Satariano took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bjorn Zahra. Bjorn Zahra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Chucky Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clayton Camilleri having to interfere. Peter Bonett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clayton Camilleri having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cruz Azul FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Resurrection.
