Seating: 2128, VIP seats: 184) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anthony Hamilton kicked off to start the match. Malcolm Farrugia took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clayton Gulia. Clayton Gulia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Malcolm Farrugia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Malcolm Farrugia sped through Diamond Eyes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clayton Gulia. Diamond Eyes's Clayton Gulia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Farrugia in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Highbury Boys 1896 booed when Diamond Eyes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Failla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Malcolm Farrugia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Clayton Gulia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clayton Gulia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Farrugia, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 31 minutes into the match, Diamond Eyes's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Farrugia came free, but Clayton Gulia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clayton Gulia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Farrugia in the 36th minute of the match. The Highbury Boys 1896 fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Highbury Boys 1896's Malcolm Farrugia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 42nd minute, Malcolm Farrugia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Highbury Boys 1896 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. If Malcolm Farrugia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malcolm Farrugia was the one to do the kick off. Clayton Gulia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernard Fava went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Clayton Gulia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan De Marco in the 56th minute of play. Bernard Fava could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Clayton Gulia made a huge save. Malcolm Farrugia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 59th playminute. Luukas Van Boekost sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clayton Gulia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Farrugia, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Bernard Fava did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Clayton Gulia 66 minutes into the match. Diamond Eyes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Malcolm Farrugia 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-11. Carlo Cassola didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-12 via right post in the game's 74th minute. Highbury Boys 1896's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! 77 minutes into the game, Andre Laspina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Highbury Boys 1896's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamond Eyes the free kick. In the 78th minute, Michele Markham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Negri was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-12. Clayton Gulia came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Highbury Boys 1896's Malcolm Farrugia. But to his dismay, Malcolm Farrugia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-13. A collision led to Diamond Eyes getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Anthony Hamilton hit a great ball. Diamond Eyes's Clayton Gulia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Diamond Eyes from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Farrugia in the 90th minute of play forced Diamond Eyes's goalkeeper Clayton Gulia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luukas Van Boekost received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Clayton Gulia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Farrugia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Clayton Gulia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diamond Eyes's goalkeeper Clayton Gulia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Diamond Eyes getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. David Gilson hit a great ball. Highbury Boys 1896's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
