Spectators: 10896 (Terracing: 8173, Seating: 2506, VIP seats: 217) Jan Wyrzykowski made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Jan Wyrzykowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Etienne Blanco, 1-0. Etienne Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Wyrzykowski in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Filfla United's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Wyrzykowski came free, but Etienne Blanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Jan Wyrzykowski took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Etienne Blanco to make any attempt to save it. Jan Wyrzykowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Etienne Blanco made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Filfla United's goalkeeper Etienne Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Wyrzykowski. Etienne Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Apelqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Templars FC were awarded a corner. Adelino Marques went to the cornerflag to take it. Templars FC's Flóris Rómer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Etienne Blanco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Etienne Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Wyrzykowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Filfla United booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evan Vancell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Etienne Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staffan Apelqvist in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Filfla United's Etienne Blanco got control of the ball when Osvaldo Alvarenga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Jan Wyrzykowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Etienne Blanco, 3-0. After 30 minutes of play, Filfla United's John Said made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Courtois was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelino Marques got free with Etienne Blanco in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Etienne Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Wyrzykowski in the 43rd minute of the match. Etienne Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Wyrzykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Osvaldo Alvarenga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Etienne Blanco firmly grabbed it by the left post.

A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jan Wyrzykowski hit a great ball. After 55 played minutes Filfla United got a freekick which was hit by Tosh Roebuck. 56 minutes into the match, Filfla United's goal looked a bit too open when Staffan Apelqvist came free, but Etienne Blanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Flóris Rómer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filfla United's Etienne Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Alvarenga in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Filfla United's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Wyrzykowski came free, but Etienne Blanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Etienne Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Marques in the 65th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Filfla United got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Ekegren. Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut was substituted for Jan Wyrzykowski. Ivar Ekegren kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Adelino Marques, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Alvarenga in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Etienne Blanco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 74 minutes, Osvaldo Alvarenga made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Filfla United's Etienne Blanco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute, Osvaldo Alvarenga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Templars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Etienne Blanco came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Osvaldo Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Etienne Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Sammut in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Adelino Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Etienne Blanco was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Etienne Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Sammut, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Templars FC had played much better football throughout.
