Spectators: 10827 (Terracing: 8134, Seating: 2493, VIP seats: 200) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jonathan Sammut took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Sammut came free, but Tommy Cauchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Staffan Apelqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Templars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Sammut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Cauchi was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Osvaldo Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Tommy Cauchi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Templars FC. Tommy Cauchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Templars FC's Osvaldo Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Cauchi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Victoria's Tommy Cauchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Staffan Apelqvist in the 19th minute of play. Tommy Cauchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match, Keith De Fremeaux tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but André Courtois saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Victoria's Tommy Cauchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Sammut in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith De Fremeaux in the 35th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Templars FC's Staffan Apelqvist made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Cauchi was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Tommy Cauchi was a little too slow when Jonathan Sammut got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-6. Jonathan Sammut took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Cauchi. Tommy Cauchi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Jonathan Sammut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Cauchi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Jonathan Sammut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Cauchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adelino Marques received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Cauchi came out and tried to block the shot, but Adelino Marques slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 68th minute. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Jan Wyrzykowski sped through Victoria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Cauchi. Tommy Cauchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Wyrzykowski in the 76th minute of play. Jan Wyrzykowski took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Cauchi. Tommy Cauchi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. Tommy Cauchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Wyrzykowski in the 81st minute of play. Tommy Cauchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Wyrzykowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Wyrzykowski in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Cauchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 90 minutes, Matthew Laferla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Victoria and the Templars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matthew Laferla hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Svanström to maneuver through the defense. Victoria's Tommy Cauchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Wyrzykowski in the 94th minute of play. Templars FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
