After 2 played minutes FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ got a freekick which was hit by Radomil Bartochowski. 3 minutes into the match, Miguel Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Willy Costermans. FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of FC Lëtzebuerg booed when FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Babineaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Miguel Sanches came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FC Lëtzebuerg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Sanches couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for FC Lëtzebuerg. Adrian Duldurescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Willy Costermans. 0-2. 17 minutes into the game, Miguel Sanches cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Willy Costermans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ defense, Miguel Sanches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willy Costermans. The FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willy Costermans should have stopped the shot. Willy Costermans came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lëtzebuerg's Miguel Sanches. But to his dismay, Miguel Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 29 minutes into the match, FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's goal looked a bit too open when Yannick Bartz came free, but Willy Costermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adrian Duldurescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Lëtzebuerg's players had a chance to rest. In the 32nd minute, Miguel Sanches left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lëtzebuerg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Miguel Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When FC Lëtzebuerg's Miguel Sanches in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's goalie prevented a goal. In the 43rd minute Miguel Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Costermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian De Weerd hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's zone, Miguel Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willy Costermans came out of the goal and Miguel Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Sanches to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Sanches in the 53rd minute of play forced FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's goalkeeper Willy Costermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomil Bartochowski to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's goalkeeper Willy Costermans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Sanches. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Miguel Sanches took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Willy Costermans to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Sanches got free with Willy Costermans in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Sanches could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Willy Costermans made a huge save. Willy Costermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ made a substitution. Bodo Schumann replaced Markus Homburg. A collision led to FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jacobo Lazcano hit a great ball. Willy Costermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Radomil Bartochowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lëtzebuerg the free kick. Radomil Bartochowski kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Radomil Bartochowski made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bodo Schumann however managed to control. 86 minutes into the game, FC Lëtzebuerg's Miguel Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willy Costermans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 0-11 when Miguel Sanches sped through FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Willy Costermans. In the 93rd minute, Camillo Moriggi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Willy Costermans was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. When the match was over FC Lëtzebuerg could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ throughout the match.
