Alexander Di Ianni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alexander Di Ianni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Felice in the 36th minute of the match. Christian Matteucci kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruno Alonzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavio Vago. That made the score 1-2 in the 41 minute of play. Bianco Garofalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alexander Di Ianni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Bianco Garofalo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of ssolimpia's Alexander Di Ianni. Alexander Di Ianni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Alexander Di Ianni was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Dario Felice capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dario Felice really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. The ssolimpia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Di Ianni should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute Dario Felice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Di Ianni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesare Di Paola took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Vago. Flavio Vago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. After 80 minutes, Adriano Beattie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ponzano and the ssolimpia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A very good chance for a goal. If Bianco Garofalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Ponzano echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as ssolimpia had held the ball for most of the match.
