Cristoforo Marconi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antonello Campese. cermenate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Antonello Campese came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Daniele Di Placido. But to his dismay, Daniele Di Placido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 29th minute of the match, Ernesto Luciano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antonello Campese saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Cristoforo Marconi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Mazzocchi kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniele Di Placido in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonello Campese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Luciano to make the kick off. Felice Pomponio's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 68thth minute of the game Ernesto Luciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but cermenate's Antonello Campese was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
