The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfonso Persia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Romanese in the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Emiliano Petrosino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Salsiccia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linate FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atletico Salsiccia's Emiliano Petrosino got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Ciccio Silvagni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Persia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Graziano got free with Camillo Andreozzi in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferruccio Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferruccio Negri might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camillo Andreozzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferruccio Negri ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfonso Persia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Romanese in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Mauro during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Eugenio Mauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciccio Silvagni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alfonso Persia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Persia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Romanese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferruccio Negri to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Alberto Romanese tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfonso Persia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 54th minute Alberto Romanese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Persia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes, Carmine Barresi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linate FC and the Atletico Salsiccia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Atletico Salsiccia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camillo Andreozzi should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atletico Salsiccia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Linate FC.
