Alessandro Proietto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fortunato Festa went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Bassani in the 42nd minute of play forced CC Corninthias's goalkeeper Alessandro Proietto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, CC Corninthias's goal looked a bit too open when Arrigo Pozzo came free, but Alessandro Proietto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, CC Corninthias's Enrico Porcu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alex Taddeo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
